The READYREST - Arrow Rest
Space age construction and futuristic design combine to create a new arrow rest that will change the way you hunt. The new three point hunter READYREST allows
hand free control of the arrow at all times with its unique cradling design. This rest is ideal for stalking, ground blind, and tree-stand hunters, and is a great way to get beginners started with confidence.
Two models of the READYREST are available. The three-point hunter and two-point hunter are CNC machined from brass, aluminum, and stainless steel,
providing for unmatched durability. This rest may be the last arrow rest you ever need to buy. The READYREST feature spring loaded support posts, with
stainless steel wheels and neoprene o-rings. Both models are super quiet and very smooth on the draw.
I recently tested the three-point hunter model and must say, I was pleasantly impressed with the features and functionality of the rest. Being a first year
archer, I learned many of the challenges an archer faces in the field each season. One of the worst problems I had was making a slow stalk, safely and
quietly. It seemed every time I got close to an animal, I had many things on my mind and one of the worries was keeping the arrow seated on the rest for the
shot as I slowly progressed towards an animal. This product will reduce those fears to nothing, giving full attention to the stalk and the game you seek. The
unique top pin design that holds an arrow on the rest without touching the arrow at all.
One worry I had was if the new design would decrease arrow flight
speed. I headed out to Salt Lake Archery http://www.xmission.com/~slarche r/ and had them install the READYREST on my Martin Phantom bow. I had
chronographed my bow several times before changing the rest to get a good judgment of the bow speed before the change of equipment. The average speed of the bow was right
around 215 fps before the READYREST was installed. I preformed several test with the new Ready Rest on the bow, and much to my amazement, the speed
increased by 2 fps to 217 fps average speed. Not a big increase, but definitely the opposite of what I expected. I also noticed a slight decrease in noise during the shot.
Overall impression of the READYREST is very high. I think it will become standard equipment on my archery equipment for next hunting season. I look
forward to testing the rest further in the field, under some of the harsh winter conditions we sometimes find ourselves hunting in here in the Rocky
Mountains. I feel the innovative design is a great asset to someone hunting in cramped quarters, a tree stand or trying to make the final approach to an
animal. And for the hunter out in the cold, it eliminates the hassle of trying to keep your arrow seated with a gloved hand, as many cold weather archers must do.
Pricing of the READYREST, either model is retail for $65.00 plus $5.00 shipping and handling. Arrow rests come ready to install with all mounting
hardware for typical applications. READYREST also offers a 30-day, no questions asked, money back guarantee, minus shipping costs. For additional information on READYREST products, visit their web site at http://www.readyrest.net/
