3-9X40IGR Red Dot Rifle Scope

Features, prices and durability make this rifle scope well worth mounting on your favorite rifle. The new Mueller Optics Sport DOT Series of rifle scope is just the right stuff for just about any situation you can
imagine putting them through.
I took the Mueller 3-9X40IGR scope into a gun shop on Tuesday and had it mounted on a demo rifle from Browning 300 A-Bolt Medallion, WSSM. A rifle with plenty of bone jarring power to shake even the best
scopes. I then headed to a place below my home that allows us a place to site in our rifles. I quickly dialed it
in on paper the first night, then headed to the range the next day to complete the final set up and adjustments. Very nice! The last three shots I fired at 100 yards where at 10X.
First and foremost, let me say, I am totally impressed. And not just me, but several of my Pro Staff Members
also made the trip and had a chance to give the scope the once over. I won't give away the whole details on
the review for this first of the two hunts I will be doing the testing on, but rest assured, the initial results are
great! The next hunt takes us from 500 feet above sea level to hunting between 9,000 and 11,000 feet for a Utah mule deer.
For the cost, performance and features offered, we agree it is a serious contender in its price bracket and able to compete with higher priced scopes easily.
Even being early afternoon, I did actually have the red dot on when I heard the bear coming in, it was the second thing I took care of, only after flipping the safety off.....
Picking my spot on the vitals was simple against the black coat of the bear. It was amazing!

As I cleaned out the bear for Mr. Draper and say the shot placement of his shot, I was amazed. It was one of
the best shots I have seen on a a bear yet. He had penetrated the left lung dead center, cutting the main
artery to the heart, then passing cleanly through the right lung as it passed on through the bear. It was as
good as it gets! I wish every client had the shot placement and red dot scope Mr. Draper used on this hunt. Please send me more information on these when they become available to the general market!

UPDATE: 10-19-2003
Well still no buck, but I had the opportunity to place this scope into a great testing situation. I took my family
out for a drive yesterday through the area we have been hunting for mule deer in and late last night, right before the end of legal shooting hours, I had the chance to turn this scope on and aim in on a nice 4 point
muley buck. WOW! I could pick the spot for my shot out perfectly. The deer stood off in the shadows of the
pine and quakes, but it didn't matter. The scope allowed me to penetrate right in and see where I could place the shot.
Although, I elected to pass on this buck, I could have easily taken him with the use of the Mueller Scope's Red Dot!
