Dragon Hook

It's time... You made the perfect shot, you bagged the trophy you have dreamed of all season, now the work starts. Time to break out the Drag-on Hook!  Panhandle Outdoors is about to make the tough task of
dragging your harvest back to the vehicle a much more managable task. The Drag-on Hook is a stainless steel hook that has been ergonomically designed to promote a
more comfortable way to drag large game such as deer, bear, elk, hogs, sheep and even predators. Its flat design allows it to be carried in a pouch, daypack, or even your
back pocket. The point is a chisel tip that cuts its way through and has been turned to the inside to avoid poking the user.
I recently had the opportunity to test out the Drag-on Hook on a trip to Nova Scotia, Canada on a bear hunt. I was likely enough to harvest a nice 325 lbs. black bear and
figured this would be a great test since I would be dragging this animal out to the road alone to meet the Guide. I had several hours to wait before the sun went down.
Out of the handy carrying pouch came the Drag-on Hook and with one easy movement, I had the bear hooked through the lower jaw and was on my way, From the inside of the mouth, I placed the Drag-on Hook
under the tounge of the bear and gave a quick forward jerk to set the hook into the jawbone. I placed my hand through the nylon webbing strap and went to work.
I was pretty amazed at the ease of handling the bears 325 lbs. It was a tough track to the road with boulders the size of small cars between me and the road. With little excess effort, I was able to mange the task of
hoisting the bear over the boulders with less effort and with confidence that the hook would hold and not send
me flying as it slipped out. Secure and safe, I managed the 400 yard drag to the truck in about 1/2 hour. Not bad at all!
I will be testing this item further throughout the hunt season this year, but the initial results look great! I think
this is a worthwhile item to have in any hunters pack and for the price, a hard one to be without! Throw the old game drag system away and upgrade to the light weight, easy to use Dragon Hook today!
