DEWBRIDGE SAFARIS, The Eastern Cape offers a wide diversity of climate from the moderate coastal belt with a
higher rainfall, mostly in the summer months, to more extreme on the edge of the Great karoo, lower rainfall, hot in summer and around freezing at times during winter, May
to August. Due to the variance of climate, there is a corresponding diversity of flora which in turn supports a large variety of fauna in differing habitats. Apart from the big
five, more trophies were taken in the Eastern Cape during 1997 than any other province in the Rep of SA. The efforts of game ranchers introducing more and more species of game allow
clients a greater choice of animals in a malaria free environment.
